After the I. World War Dr. József Szén became the minister in Taktaharkány and he helped to develop the church. Between 1926-27 the church was built and in 1929 a primary school too. The first teacher was József Monszport. He organised a collection to paint the church. He beautified the church' s garden, he planted trees and a few years later he made there a beautfil park.
