The church was built between 1935 and 1937 dedicating to the jubilee of St. Stephen' s 900th anniversary. Designer: Géza Kohányi. Architects: András Kocsa and Jr. Lajos Katona. Its tower was not finished because of the war. Its bell was placed here from the belfry in the Hársfa Street. It is 110 kg, and it was dedicated to Virgin Mary. The belfry was build in 1988 and a new bell was given to it in 2003. It is 325 kg and it was dedicated to St. Stephen.
